I'm quite amazed that Rodney still manages to look like Rodney, despite the lack of hair and clothing. XD

Well, Pasquale is rather Rodney-like. I mean, I wouldn't know which way to bet if there was a tracking and/or fighting contest between Ronon and Maximus, but to get a physical resemblance they ahd to change the horse's coat and mane (and make it dreads) and eyes and give him a goatee. All they had to do to make Pasquale = Rodney was add a blue iris in his eyes.
