Notice of hiatus

My bags are packed, I'm ready to go~

Well, tomorrow morning I'm leaving on a aeroplane. I am heading north (yes, NORTH!) to go take care of some family business and very likely attend the funeral of my grandmother. (But as of today, so far as I know, she is still alive. Hallucinating freely, but alive.) I should be back Friday.

If you're the praying type, pray my plane doesn't crash in the ocean, or pray I don't get in a fight with a moose, or, really, pray for Nan's pain to end.

If you're not the praying sort, but you're the 'drinking to things important to other people' sort, well, raise a glass to Sally Brown.

...Since I wear black slacks to work, I figured I could pack them in case of funeral. I washed them last night, and I wore them today to work, figuring one day wouldn't hurt them.

And then a small child vomited on the stairs and in front of the admissions counter and guess who had to clean it up? Yes, that's right. Me.

...I'm sure I can wash them there someplace...

No kidding! I got to use the biohazard kit, but the anti-microbial hand wash made me smell weird. :(

Thanks. I got to see her! and when she could still talk, she said she'd rather people come see her while she was a live than wait until she died.
