thoughts as I watch Season 1 of The Sentinel

Boy, if you did a drinking game to this show, people would be smashed rael fast if you listed "Jim breaks a law", "Jim drops his gun" or "Jim gets pulled off a case" as a drink each.

...You know, I see all over the place in fic Jim calling Blair "little buddy". But so far, it's been Blair calling Jim that. Once.

Sounds like Jim shouldn't be holding his tenure much longer -- but then we know all about the rowdy ones, don't we? ;D

He keeps getting awarded Cop of the Year. His arrest rate is phenomenal, and was pretty stupendous even before his senses kicked in. I think partly it's because he's incredibly resourseful -- he does take risks most people wouldn't, just because that's what he's like.

So far, every time I've seen him get taken off a case, he's disobeyed and solved it anyway.

The fact that his immediate C.O. is very fond of him and randomly helps him break the rules...

Not to mention the fact that he lives in Telebi Cop Land, not the Real World [tm]

Hey, cop shows are notorious for doing some very unrealistic things. Juristiction? BAH! Only matters when it's supposed to, because of Plot.
