this put the paradox pretty succinctly, I feel

Sequence of Events

1. Batgirl, Stephanie Brown, is given the task of infiltrating an English boarding school (Batman: The Return)
2. Batgirl, Stephanie Brown, arrives in England ready for that mission (Batgirl #22)
3. Stephanie Brown, who was never ever Batgirl, performs that mission (Batman INC: Leviathan Strikes!)
4. Batgirl, Stephanie Brown, returns to Gotham following that mission (Batgirl #23)

But supposedly -- and everyone over at DC keeps saying this -- Leviathan Strikes! is meant to take place before the reboot, for reading purposes. (It was meant to be published then.) So, really, what the hell?

eta: PARADOX RESOLVED! Despite the fact that previews of the pencils clearly showed Steph as Spoiler, the final art had her as Batgirl. And for soem reason Madonna, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Lily Perry are the villains. I wish I was kidding, but I'm not.

You are probably correct. Unless it was a company solely producing stories which actually occured, featuring accurate (if strange) science.

Ignorance is too frustrating to be bliss if your mind is capable of wisdom. Try not to despair. (Even though DC wants you to. THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!)

Action Comics worked so well to put me in a good mood yesterday I might have to try something again today. Not sure what, though. (Four lights, and three, four, five fourty-two Robins?)

I've read some pretty good ones that explain physics and genetics better than my teachers did. ^^;

I am brain dead with a cold, or the flu, or tonsilitus or something, so I have no suggestions, alas. (Except adding chili and garlic to all your food, if you happen to be fealing this way, too.) (I thought we were supposed to round up to forty-seven for inflation? ;3)

I still have a bunch of the Captain Britain omni to read, but I'm not sure I'm up for that brand of madness tonight. Hmmm... (All numbers are equal to 47 anyway, so I suppose it's right no matter what?)
