This is a bittersweet duet from Koko wa Greenwood. "Amayadori" does literally mean "take shelter from the rain" but also connotes how people from very different backgrounds can, for a time, share a space together because of it, and then part. I love this song because not only is it a perfect image song for the deeper level of the relationship between the two characters (whose voice actors are) mainly singing it, but it is also the essential underlying theme for the entire series. The school, and more specifically the dorm, Greenwood, is the great tree under which most of the students find themselves meeting and sharing a space, before parting again to go out into the world, and possibly never meet again.

There's a lot in this series about mentorship, leadership, use and abuse of authority, big brothers, sempai, etc. One of the ones that is never highlighted in a particular story but is nonetheless integral to the series is Shinobu and Shun. :3

vol. 3 (story: "Noblesse Oblige")
Shun: Shinobu-sempai? The man is like a god to me!! He can do anything, but will only do it for a price! Just like a god!

vol. 9 (story: "Love Prevails (Part Two)")
Shinobu (to Shun): You're brutally honest. I like that about you.

Watched the first two eps of Here Is Greenwood live action.

Still completely in love with this series.

Adoring how elements from later stories are bing worked in or given shoutouts this early, since it's a short TV run.

Desperately need icon of Shinobu snapping a fan in front of his face to "OHOHOHOHOHOHOHO~" with Mitsuru. ♥
