wow my brain just did a weird math at me

I was rereading a fanfic I'd bookmarked, my comment to which includes the phrase "piling together like affectionate puppies", and my brain went, like:
a) puppies piling together is cute
b) pictures of animals of the same or different species sleeping next to or even on top of one another is not automatically construed as sexual unless they are human
c) damn it, humanity
d) people can totally sleep like that as friends
e) huh. I bet when Bart, Tim, and Kon puppy pile, Kon always ends up in the middle (unless they are against a wall) because Bart will get up a million times in the night. and Tim takes the other side, for special ninja purposes. but that's okay, because if Kon needs to get up to pee, he can fly
