why do I collect AUs? WHY? Is it a symptom of my basic dissatisfaction with the main-line Marvel U?

Probably. It's why I'm running off to the retro-Silver Age corner with Booster Gold and the Flash Rogues (I swear, two new pairings, each with one member dead, in the last six months is a sign of *something8).
