cat bathing

Well, it's not even 9:30am and I have given the cat a bath. Yes, I'm really that hard-core a procrastinator. I should be finishing my paper that's due today. But her mewling was especially piteous today, adn then she shed flea eggs on me, and that was sort of the last straw.

I was smart and took all the books out of the bathroom before we started.

Things I learned:
1. Next time, trim her claws first. Amusing as it was to see a cat hang off bathroom fixtures and climb the shower tiles, what she did to my arms wasn't worth it.
2. Invest in flea shampoo. >_< Soap does kill them, and they can drown, but this is a struggling long-haired cat. I know I killed at least thirty (!!!) fleas, but I also know I still saw at least half that on her paler patches when we were done.
3. She really, really hates the rinsing part.
4. Next time, put the towels on the floor first.

I hate fleas.

Too. Damn. HOT. (Meanwhile, my mother did a superearly bird morning grocery run one province over because the roads are icing up. WTF, weather?

So. Me coughing so hard that I retch in front of the line of people at the soup kitchen? Classy. In my defense, half of them were smoking cigars. Yes, cigars. I have no idea what's up with that.

Tired. Need to typing. had to get laundry change, though. (I hate figuring out I don't have another loonie when I've already got the wash in. >_< )

Edit: It has dropped 10 degrees. Ennngh.
